2020 Flu Vaccination Clinics

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we WILL NOT be offering walk-in clinics this year.  All appointments will be PRE-BOOKED appointments. Dates are currently available for those aged 65 and over (by 31/3/21) and those 18 - 64yrs in the 'at risk' group.  Nasal vaccines are also available for 2 & 3 year olds (1/9/16 - 31/8/18) and those 12 - 17 yrs in the 'at risk' group. Please contact reception via askmyGP or telephone to book your appointment.

 

We are aware that the Government intends to immunise patients over 50, however no additional stocks of vaccines have been allocated as yet.  Therefore, these patients will be offered immunisation at a later date to be advised.

 

When attending your appointment:

Please wear a face covering and sanitise your hands

Wear appropriate clothing (there will be no modestiy screens)

In the UK, the Department of Health recommends annual flu vaccination for adults aged 65 and over, pregnant women, those living in long-stay residential care homes, healthcare workers and carers, and all those aged six months and over with any of the following conditions:
 

  • Diabetes

  • Chronic heart, kidney or liver disease

  • Weakened immune system

  • Severe asthma (on a preventative inhaler) or chronic respiratory disease

  • Transplant patient

  • Spleen removal

  • All pregnant women

  • Carers

  • BMI over 40

  • Chronic neurological disease (such as Parkinson’s disease, motor neurone disease, stroke and transient ischaemic attacks
     

Child Eligibility - Nasal Vaccine

2 & 3 year olds born between 1/9/16 and 31/8/2018 (WILL REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT)

11 to 17 year olds who are in the “at risk” list above


Unfortunately we are unable to offer private flu vaccinations this year.
